Alyssa
INTRO:
Welcome and thank you for visiting! My name is Alyssa, and I’m a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive assessment and medication management for a variety of mental health conditions. While I am a prescriber, I offer more than just medication to help you achieve your goals. I take a holistic approach, integrating mindful prescribing, behavior modifications, physical activity, and nutrition.
MY PHILOSOPHY:
My philosophy is that we are all unique, complex beings and should be treated in that manner. There is no “one shoe fits all” when it comes to mental health. My goal is to get to the root and build from there, utilizing both a broad lens while also going beneath the surface.
WHAT TO EXPECT: You will see that I schedule 1.5 hour intakes
and 45 minute follow-up appointments to ensure I have ample time to get to know you and provide high quality care. As a proponent of shared-decision making, you’ll take an active role in the choices impacting your well-being. The individualized treatment plan we develop will be strongly aligned with your goals. Additionally, I’m happy to provide recommendations and coordinate with other members of your treatment team in order to help you achieve and maintain an optimum level of wellness.
AREAS OF INTEREST:
Anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, young adult problems, and substance use disorders (with the exception of opioid use disorder).
AGE RANGE:
I treat individuals between 12-65 years of age. I have treated individuals older than 65 years of age but refer out if there is presence of a neurodegenerative disorder or polypharmacy.
